For the Love of Enid Blyton.

Did you ever read Enid Blyton when you were younger?

I absolutely LOVED her books!

Especially 'The Magic Faraway Tree"...

"The Adventures of The Wishing Chair"...

and good old "Mr Twiddle" to name but a few...

Recently I came across a series of her books that I hadn't read before.  Enid Blyton's Nature Series Books.

"Enid Blyton's Nature Lovers Book"...

It is THE most adorable and informative book I have EVER READ!!

The book centres around four characters, Pat, Janet and John and their neighbour 'Uncle Merry'. Some of the context is a little out of date, the fact that three children go off on long nature walks with their trusted neighbour friend, who they nickname 'Uncle Merry'... but it is all perfectly innocent and pure script from the 1930s.

Now quite a bit older, Enid still captures my child's heart and imagination as if it had never gone away.  Not only is one transported to a most idealic world of perfect seasons and neighbourly love, but with each paragraph, one learns the most intricate details about insects, birds, wild flowers and nature's amazing beauty with each season. I will certainly be re-reading it  in order to absorb even more hidden facts and details about our wonderful wildlife.

I bought my copy of "Enid Blyton's Nature Lovers Book" from Ebay and I urge any nature lover to pick up a copy and rediscover the charm of Enid Blyton.

Now absolutely hooked again on Enid Blyton, so have more books on the way... yippee!! Which I shall reveal later...

This is a little custom order doll I had the privilege of making for someone in Australia...

Molly from Enid Blyton's 'Adventures of the wishing chair' - custom order doll
She is the character "Molly" from a more modern cover of "The Adventures of the Wishing Chair"...

I would love to hear from anyone else who adores Enid Blyton as I do!!

All comments welcome!
